These are definitely worth checking out; I own a condo in Bullington Warehouse (500 N Duke St). This was the first conversion project (completed in the early 80s). The space is wonderful; the only downside is having shared walls again. One block from the historical Durham Athletic Park; a few blocks from Brightleaf, and about 20 mins walk from 9th st.

If they don't mind renting, there are still a few units available in West Village (100 N Duke St), which opened in the late 90s; this project was funded by several former Duke basketball players, including Christian Laettner and Brian Davis, but you can't hold that against it.

There are also some extremely high-end units scheduled for construction as part of the American Tobacco project. Some of these are being priced at over $1,000,000, and the building doesn't exist yet, so this is probably not what you're looking for
