Well, with 800,000 - 1,000,000 page views per month, things change a bit:

- you could install phpAds (free adserver) or similar.
- sell 1000 impressions / mo. for $10 (reasonable for a local market)
- get 10 advertisers willing to pay for 50,000 impression/ mo.

and if you served all 500,000 ads per month you'd make: $60,000 a year.

I think that there are probably enough large, community-minded companies in
this region (Cisco, Nortel, etc...) that a modest recruitment effort would
result in decent participation - and would allow you to ensure that the ads
would be in good taste and not corrupt our precious youths.
