Yup, Ray. That works just great. In fact, that is one of the big plans the government had for legal genocide. Worked pretty good in California and in another version that they used in Oklahoma. Just one more way for the invaders to get more free land. Heaven forbid that the U.S. government honor any contract they have.
HOWEVER, it won't work if it is tried again. We aren't naive enough to believe the line of bull that goes with the breakup of the reservations a second time around.
Besides, we've learned how to use the media and won't be scared off by someone pushing a child down a flight of stairs to kill her. Fires? That's been done before. We're much more diligent. Prison? Doesn't shut us up anymore.
Hey, we've been watching the black and brown folks and taking notes!

In my opinion, most of the race hustlers ARE black.?Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and their ilk rely on a victim status on the part of blacks to maintain their own power.
Bigotry exists, and probably always will.
Those who wish to atone are of course free to do so. Don't take MY money to do it.
Yes, I worked on several reservations during my career. Gros Ventres/Assiniboine, Blackfeet, and Spirit Lake tribes, to be specific, and yep, they are dumpy looking places, for the most part. So is any slum I have seen. To few pick up after themselves.
I also saw EXTREMELY poor living conditions in China (again 25 years ago), but they were still well kept, and clean.
It has always been my opinion, that in the long run, the best thing we could do for the american indians is eliminate totally the reservations. After all, we've broken most of the other treaties, as you said. Might as well make a clean sweep, and be consistant.
