I would say that some of it is genetic and the other is taught. This thread would be a prime example of it being taught. All but you are arguing that it is somehow o.k. because that is what humans do. But some don't have that trait. I know that my heritage didn't even have a word for murder until the invaders came along. Yet the folks up the mountain did. The folks up the mountain were always fighting with other folks. My people thought it was crazy, a form of insanity <g> and to this day refer to the folks up the mountain as "those crazy ****."

So? Does that mean that nobody ever aggresses and starts wars on people who
don't want war? Once someone is attacked, they are at war, whether they
wanted it or not.

Am I not writing English? I don't seem to be able to make my point that
there are people, cultures, religions, etc. that DON'T start conflicts with
others. Bev and others have implied, or outright said that it's "just the
way human are" to aggress against others and take what they want. I'm saying
that as long as there are people who DON'T do that, it can't be a universal
"human" trait...it is perhaps a trait in a subset of humans, but not all. If
violence and aggression were universal human traits, wouldn't ALL people be
brawl and stealing?
