No, I don't know where you get arrogance. I was asked and I answered.

Since most of these experiences happened because I was shoveling horse shit and teaching kids, no, I wouldn't call it arrogance.

And since my whole POINT was that people should STOP using labels, maybe you should reread what I am writing and stop taking offense because I happen to have sent it.

Maybe he doesn't call himself mulatto because no one should be referring to anyone by colour. Call him the guy with the great smile. The guy with the connections you want to know more about. The President-elect. The guy with the two cute kids. WHATEVER. Colour should have ZERO to do with it.

Wow. Kind of arrogant about that whole social experience thing, aren't you?

Personally, I no longer care what people call me. Never really did, but even less, now. People use whatever label is available that allows them to keep whatever biases they may hold near and dear. Your use of a any particular "label" tells me much about you, as my use would say much about me.

Just because someone would never "say" such a thing, does not by any means imply that the label is not being used, internally.

And I wonder, since we are on the individual bandstand here, why BO does not call himself a mulatto? After all, that's what he really is, to those who actually care about race.
