*Needs* not wants! The same folks who bitch and moan over Indian casinos
think that the stock market is god's gift to them to get rich quick. HELLO!
The stock market is gambling. If folks want to GAMBLE, don't come knocking
at my door expecting me to be an enabler!

Borrowing money for houses beyond their means is not a *need* and I won't play enabler for them either. Buying McMansions on a beer budget is something I won't play enabler for either. Keeping up with the Jones is NOT a *need* and I won't play enabler for that either.

We do lots of volunteer work. Make afghans for the elderly who live where it is extremely cold. Make slippers and jackets and sweaters. We buy a few cans of veggies when they are sale at the local stores and give them to the food bank. Youngest works at the soup kitchen.

Those are *needs* and those I'm not "sensitive to" but actively work to help with! Those are my values.

America is an experiment in building a superior civilization. We here
have all benefited from the experiment. How we conduct ourselves as we
go forward will speak to our values. My values include being sensitive
to the needs of my fellow humans.
