I did get the joke, Bob. Thanks. I assume you also sensed the abject humility in my reply... ;-)

If you are not winking and using subtle humor, then there might be a chance that
you didn't read the full post.  Ray didn't make up his word, I made up mine.
Google them both.  Ray has a good sense of humor, it was a joke.   I hope he got
the joke.

I would never attempt to correct someone's writing style, I don't have the
skill.  I mix tenses, use improper punctuation and break every other rule that
E.B. White so perfected.  I attended public school, Latin was not in the
curriculum.  I would have let this go, but I was afraid that someone might have
read your reply before James re-posted his reply about my hallucinations; and
thought I was one of those awful "writting correctors".    I thought I put a <G>
(doesn't that mean smile?)

If you re-read my post,  (by the way, Ray is a Music teacher --I played a bit on
that), you will just laugh at my hoakiness--a byproduct of my Confucianinity.
<G> ...bobford

Obtuse-ness is not a word, ray.  The word you are looking for is
obtunuity.

Someone told me once to not publicly admit your weaknesses, I haven't yet
learned that lesson because I do it all the time. I was unfamiliar with
obtunuity myself. My husband, who was a Latin scholar in school, probably
knew the word. He strengthens my vocab skills on an almost weekly basis.

If it makes you feel better Ray, I would have used obtuseness. I' make up
new words by adding prefixes and suffixes to existing words.

Thanks for the correct word, Bob. Learn something every day.

Lisa
