To make brandywine do you have to go the extra step to distill it, just like
any spirits?  If so , wouldn't it be easier just to make a big vat of apple
cider, and then add a bottle of tasteless Everclear ?(if they still even make
Everclear)...bobf

Okay, I give.

My mind is clearly on the financial sector of the economy, or what is left
of it. When I was a mortgage broker, my loans were sold by my company to
WaMu - which is probably next to fall (or not far off).

Have been picking up falling apples, nearly got hit in the head by one
Newton-style. Perhaps it would have done me some good. ;)

My homemade peach wine (looks like homemade cider, tastes similar to hard
cider) is pretty darn good already. Had a couple ounces. Racked yesterday on
Day 20. It's not sweet, is definitely dry and after racking just one day the
lees are beginning to settle. I'm so jazzed by this experiment that I might
make hard cider with the apples, we have enough this year to make canned
apple slices, apple sauce, apple bread, etc. Apple brandy?
