Forty years ago, a common pracice in Alabama to keep deer out of the garden
was to string aluminum pie plates on clotheline type string around the entire
garden (and I'm talking multi-acre gardens). It must have helped; alot of
people went to the trouble to put up a lot of string.

I've seen bucks jump huge piles of pushed up trees. They'll just smile at a
fence low enough for a human to straddle. bobford
