There is lush grass growing under all of my walnut trees. I am guesstimating there are about twenty trees within about two hundred feet of the house and gardens. This time of year I have to mow about every four days to keep it as I want it. Now, one reason I mow so much is to collect clippings, which I have used as mulch for decades. Thus far I cannot think of any apparent negativity from that practice.
