each time I see something new.....a new
analogy, a new symbolism, a new meaning in one of the poems, etc.
Good fiction evokes unique vision by each reader. Tolkien intended far less than readers found: '"In his forword to the work Tolkien expressed his dislike of allegory: "As for any inner meaning or 'message', it has in the intention of the author none. It is neither allegorical nor topical...'"
