The Presario 1675 has developed some hardware problems recently.
First, it no longer recognizes memory in its one slot.
Second, the PCMCIA controller appears to have gone bad. /etc/pcmcia/start
informs me that it cannot find some bridge.
BL2 works apart from no internet connection.

pcmcia fixed itself today.

http://sradio.tv lists hundreds or thousands of internet radio stations around the world. Those in E. Europe and China, for instance, are mostly dialup speed.

They are sorted by country and by theme. 18 dialup-speed classical stations most of which don't work with my setup for unknown reasons.12^

I can play some of the .asx links using lynx (set up lynx.cfg to use mplayer - I posted my lynx.cfg) and also opera (mplayer not the plugin which needs a later mplayer - to turn off the player type
kill `pidof mplayer` in an rxvt).
12^
I can also play the links directly with mplayer http://sradio.tv/asx/1001.asx (an example - possibly the world's only all-Chinese-opera internet radio station)

These work:
RTHK Hong Kong Radio 4 (1-5 all work)
Prague's Classic http://sradio.tv/asx/654.asx (32K)
London 102 http://sradio.tv/asx12^
Norway Oslo http://sradio.tv/asx/971.asx (40K
RDP Portugal http://sradio.tv/asx/1072.asx (32K)
Otto Opera House http://sradio.tv/asx/603.asx (32K)
Otto Baroque http://sradio.tv/asx/24014.asx (32K)

Clara Belgium http://sradio.tv/asx/1005.asx (96K - jazz?)

Sky FM http://sradio.tv/asx/575.asx (128Kbps) Swiss Classic http://sradio.tv/asx/1407.asx (128Kbps)
Russia FM 99 http://sradio.tv/asx/1840.asx (64Kbps)12^
France: http://sradio.tv/asx/12^1164.asx (128K) (You can also see a direct link to the streaming mp3 URL) (commercials with opera music)12^

Guatemala 'classical' appears to be nothing but (nonclassical) commercials, in very clearly spoken Spanish.
Denmark is rock (classic rock?).

Most just say 'connecting to server' (busy?) or some message flashes by and mplayer exits.

Ethnic :
Turkey - 290.asx
Thalassa Greece - 23410
Columbia - 24463
US - 24284 (country - noisy)
Nova Antena Portugal - 12373 (commercials)
Russia Kazan - 23474 (pop in local language)
Argentina Buenos Aires - 24392 (a radio play?)
Russia Cheboksary (pop in local language)

Oslo - 972 (this is recent classical not folk; 971 also classical; 973
appears to be folk Norwegian, 976 and 977 also work - rock?)

You will probably do better just checking out the individual stations for any country. I got Serbian 'folk' from a regular station (shoutcast).
They list only 4 Macedonian stations and I know there are more.

The site is Russian and is much more up to date than http://classicalwebcast.com especially regarding bandwidth.
