I would appreciate a smaller, faster, NON-GRAPHICAL

links2 does.

That may not be possible. Non-graphical javascript
may not be able to do what you want. I don't know a
lot about javascript, but it appears that the fishhook
in your example is:
------------------
javascript:void(0)
------------------

Yes, I keep seeing that.

Every one of the links, which links2 fails to action,
says the same thing. I conclude from this that the
execution of javascript:void(0) depends to some degree
on the graphical layout of the screen.

Opera just sticks it at the end of the page. Any text browser should be able to do that, I would think.

I wonder if there is some way around the javascript if one looks at the source code, for a particular page or type of javascript (the void stuff). Doug Kaufman had some tricks with lynx and javascript.

As I understand it, the elinks developers are enthusiastic
hackers who enjoy experimenting with stuff. Therefore,
I am not confident that their javascript patch actually
works (particularly since the real links developers have
decided to abandon javascript). Even if the elinks hack

Elinks is abandoning it in the current unstable version.
Buggy, security risk. It must have worked somewhat.
Links2 javascript was also buggy and the maintainer stopped maintaining.

does work to some degree, there are still potential
problems getting it work on libc5 and a 2.2 kernel.
It seems like a lot of effort for something that will
probably fail.

2.2 kernel seems to not work with it. I tried to report that as a bug but elinks bugzilla will not accept the password they sent me, using links.

Maybe Karolis can make it work with 2.4 kernel and uclibc.

For zgv I need to block terminal or else exit elinks every time I view a photo.

Cheers,
Steven
