I found reference to bent linux while looking at dropbear.

http://bent.latency.net/bent/i386/

Has a large collection of programs and libraries for Bent Linux uclibc-only linux, static against uclibc, mostly 2006 but some 2007.
They include man and doc pages.

These should all work in BL3 or BL2 with no added libraries.

These are large programs. aumix 2.8 is 186K, while the one I compiled for glibc dynamically is 10K (I omitted some features though).
The aumix I just downloaded has an 'error opening mixer' and mine does not but it does give a list of features with --help.

355 packages to choose from.

Bent linux also uses busybox. Maybe that is there too.

Ghostscript is only version 8.12 (the latest is 8.62).

dropbear 0.50 (Nov 26 2007) - latest version is 0.51 (today)

elinks 11.3 (April 2007) I compiled 11.4rc1.
3.6MB .cpio.bz2
James, can you download and check this out in BL3?

lynx 2.8.7dev7 (Nov 26 2007) We have 2.8.16 by Karolis.

netpbm 10.18.8 (2005).

mini_httpd 2006
mini_sendmail
microemacs
pilot-link
sane-backends
screen-4.0
qemu
strace
ncurses 5.5
mutt 1.5.17
msmtp (1.7MB)
parted
perl-5.8.8 (22MB)

libpng Dec 31 2007
libjpeg
libogg
libvorbis
libusb
lilo

dietlibc Dec 2006 (915K)

gcc-3.4.6.cpio.gz (35MB cpio.gz!)

kernels 2.4.22 2.4.36 (Jan 1 - 6.7MB cpio.bz2) 2.6.23

Lots more.
Would someone with broadband (James?) please try this elinks in BL3?

To extract first bunzip2 then

cpio -id <filename.cpio

BL3 busybox does not have cpio. The one I compiled does but needs 2.4 kernel to work predictably. It might be useful for future BL3s.

bent linux has cpio-2.4.2.cpio.bz2 285K

Get cpio and bzip2 from slackware (since you can't use the ones here until you have them).
