In addition to adding libSM libICE libXext

The pkg command does this automatically.

Clever. I thought it was in the install script.

So if someone installs my oper8lib.tgz (which contains all the additional libraries, from SW81, needed for Opera 8 or 9) they should not need to run ldconfig. I included the later (static) ldconfig in my package. Can
BL3 libc5 ldconfig link glibc libraries?

So, if you install the x-libs.tgz package
using pkg, this issue does not occur.
However, if you pick and choose your
libraries and copy them yourself, then
yes you need to remember to run ldconfig.

Why does BL3 not have ld.so? What does it use instead?

I just did a screendump of what I am typing here. No need to send myself a copy of the page. BL3 is full of useful executables and devices.

nslookup gets IP numbers. (I used to do this at a website).

Busybox cmp lists only the first differing char in two files.
How is this useful?
cmp file1 file2

id - applet not found (BL3.40 and BL3.50-beta).

Fold does line wrap (80 col is default). Optionally break at space
(instead of inside words). How do I unfold? Delete all the line-break
characters with some program?

What does one use 'yes' for?
printf?
renice - when running two slow processes so one will finish first?

traceroute sdf.lonestar.org (or the IP number found by nslookup:)
gives me: traceroute: unknown protocol icmp: No such file or directory.
Are we missing something?
Cheers,
Steven
