DOS has a lot of interesting apps. Seems like someone would have
created an app that ports them to linux/unix.

I'll check out Timo Salmi's site. I think he's into DOS big time.

I checked out elm. It's an MUA. No SMTP capabilities. On SW4.0
it relies on sendmail for that, and I'm not installing that
monster.

It may be that I'll need to do some serious work on my SMTP
script.

Msmtp is really nice, but it needs libc6 and two libs, libgsasl7
and libssl0.9.7, that also need libc6. I don't have the knowhow
to make it work under libc5.

I wonder at what point installing libc6 might prove more
space efficient than using a lot of X-apps, which are usually
very large....
