I could if pkg fails simply copy over whatever dependencies kermit and
opera have (libc libm and ld-linux?). The kermit I made for BL1 does not

pkg did not work on glibc 2.2.5 so package on one computer.
I copied over ld-linux.so.2, libm.so.6 libc.so.6, libdl.so.2 and libpthread.so.0 to /lib, and ldconfig to /sbin (static) and ran ldconfig and I can now use glibc kermit except for ncurses. BL1 kermit works.

I had no problems with pkg links2.tgz and icewm.tgz and could use links2 graphical from the icewm menu.

install-to-hd worked perfectly and I chrooted to hda2 instead of rebooting.

I copied the opera .tgz to / and tar -zxvf made an opera directory with about 12MB of files including install.sh

install.sh:583: Bad function name

This line appears to be set().

How might I install opera to BL3.40 without this script?

I changed the icewm menu from ppp-on and ppp-off (both of which start with p, so I can't use them via keyboard) to dial and hangup. I linked e3pi to pico.

I will try BL3.40 with kernel 2.4.31 and a card reader. Would it also work with a photo printer that is USB and includes a card reader, just as a card reader? A friend was just given one of those.

I am trying to set up 3.40 with kermit and opera.
The kermit I compiled for BL1 requires only libc.so.5 and libm.so.5 (no
ncurses).
Opera requires glibc2.2.5:
libc.so.6
libm.so.6
ld-linux 2

These total 6.5MB, the libc5 versions 656K !!!!!

Opera also requires glibc 2.2.5 libdl (61K) and libpthread (463K).
And libX11, libXext, libSM and libICE, all of which are also required by
icewm (and hopefully found in Steven's icewm package along with libXpm).

So do I need to copy over (and ldconfig) anything besides
glibc 2.2.4 libm libc ld-linux (static) libdl libpthread

and add icewm and opera? After installing to HD - opera won't fit in
loop.

Steven, did you set up Opera with BL3.40 or 3.32?
