You're in for a whole new challenge if you want to get wireless going on
this laptop. The BL kernel is not set up for it for one thing: you'd need
to use a different kernel. Then, if you get a newer wireless card there
likely won't be a BL3 kernel compatible module/driver. In fact there might
not be *any* Linux compatible module/driver: wireless is still notoriously
difficult under Linux. If you want to network it for file transfers and
the like, the path of least resistance will be to either get yourself a
10baseT NIC with a common chipset and hook it to a wired network (or
network it with another computer so hooked) or, if you're not too
concerned about speed, do a serial connection with a null modem cable to
another machine that's hooked to the 'net and that acts like a gateway.
