Which packages did you install? If you want us
to help, you need to give us complete details.

What did the error messages say?

Perhaps it needed 'configure' to be executed first?
Is there a README or INSTALL file in your sourcecode?
If so, see what it says.

It's possible your module sourcecode might need to have
access to the kernel sourcecode. I'm just guessing here.

That's right. The info file for cardmgr contains info
only for the modules actually there (in BL3). Since the
module for your card is not there, it is not in the info
file (yet).

If your card was compatible with one of the modules
in BL3, it would be identified by cardmgr and the
correct module would be automatically installed.
Then your card would work.

I have three PCMCIA cards. Each of them is correctly
identified from the info file in BL3. cardmgr then
beeps twice and installs the correct module.

Cheers,
Steven
