Ok, checked my installation, and the glibc is deffinitely 2.1.3:

----------
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1013224 Jan 27 2003 libc-2.1.3.so*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Jan 4 09:19 libc.so.6 ->
libc-2.1.3.so*
----------

How would I go about linking the 2.1.3 so that it thinks its 2.1.2 as
well?

I've sent a question to newsplex lists to see if they can shed any light
on the subject either.
