I'm pretty certain that I am using slackware 7.1, I'll verify when i get

What exact file is the glibc library? Is it called glibc.so or something
like that? I can't verify at the moment while at work, but if I know
exactly what file to look for when I get there, it'll save me some time.

Yes, the software is called newsplex, its basically a news server
multiplexer.
