Nepsong

about pcmcia and sound module,

To avoid confusion, I will summarize what I know about the sound module:

If you are running BL1, get the sound.o module from
/modules/2.0.34/misc (in Slackware 3.5) and put it in /lib/modules/2.0.34/misc (in BL1).
-------------------------
insmod sound trace_init=1
-------------------------

If you are running BL2, you will need to replace the kernel
(zimage) with one from Slackware 7.1 (probably the bzimage
in /kernels/bare.i). Get the soundbase.o, soundlow.o, and
sound.o modules from /modules/2.2.16/misc (in Slackware 7.1)
and put them in /lib/modules/2.2.16/misc (in BL2).
-----------------------
insmod soundbase
insmod soundlow
insmod sound trace_init=1
-------------------------

Cheers,
Steven
