`man XF86Config` says that HorizSync and VertRefresh should
be taken from: "the monitor's handbook" :) If you don't know,
can't find it on producer HomPa, take a look at:

/var/X11r6/lib/doc/Monitors available in slakware/x1/xdoc.tgz

If you have XF86Setup installed, it's enough to provide
these HorizSYnc and VertRefresh, choose proper card, proper
mode (i.e. 800x600) and colors (i.e. 16bit). You don't have
to calculate timings for the mode yourself.

But if you really want to fight with Modeline yourself, docs
are also in slakware/x1/xdoc.tgz in file

/var/X11r6/lib/doc/VideoModes.doc which is simply:

"XFree86 Video Timings HOWTO"
