Hello Isaac:

The absence of the little phrase "עד עולם ", implies unconditionality in its
presence, not.

Witness:

כי את כל הארץ אשר אתה ראה לך אתננה ולזרעך עד עולם

genesis 13:15

and;

ויעל עליהם את מלך כשדים ויהרג בחוריהם בחרב בבית מקדשם ולא חמל על בחור ובתולה
זקן וישש הכל נתן בידו

2 chronicles 36:17

The land was promised to abraham עד עולם , or for a conditional or hidden
period of time. That time period subsequently proved to be from circa 1400
b.c., to circa 600 b.c.
