I have been on the Suyo longs for 3 years now and they are my faves. I slice up a few of them each market with a card that says "Try Me". Same for watermelon radishes or sungold cherry toms. It works great with green garlic and onions. You'd be surprised how many people will each straight garlic at 8 am on a Saturday. I use "TRY ME" on anything I want to introduce people to and it is my most valuable tool.

Jay,
For every box of red tomatoes you can sell, give your customer one of your Cherokee purples. Tell them that you think that is the best tasting tomato you grow, and that you want them to try it and to please let you know what they think.
For me this year it is the Suyo Long cucumber. They are strange looking and no one will buy. I'm stubborn though. I know these are the best tasting cukes on my table. So, for every box of cucumbers I sell, be it picklers or slicers, I stick one Suyo in every bag. I tell them how crisp they are, how sweet, and how I think they are the best tasting.
Today in particular I saw this start to pay off. I had several customers tell me I was right, that those really are great tasting cukes, and I finally sold some. I won't get rich this way, but I know I'm building a loyal customer base that trusts me to steer them towards great tasting produce.
I had to do this early in the season with the Hakurei turnips too. One week of giving away and then I start selling out.
Money is tight these days. People don't want to spend even a few dollars on trying something new that they may not like. But, if you give a few tomatoes away today, so that you can sell quarts of them next week, I think you will be way ahead of the guy reselling. I bet they don't give ANYTHING away!

Perkins, OK where it RAINED the entire morning at market. Rain is a good thing.
