It might be difficult to find but a Planet Jr. push-seeder handles small seeds pretty well. You may need to search Craig’s List or E-Bay to find one but make sure you get all the seed plates and both the regular “shoe” and the “scatter shoe”. The shoes create a furrow and drop the seed. The regular shoe drops it in a narrow line, the scatter shoe drops it in a band about 1.5” across, a nice feature for some plantings.

Subject: [Market-farming] Earthway Seeder and Haikui Turnips

All I have is an Earthway Seeder and my two hands to plant turnips with.  (I would love a Jangs, or pinpoint seeder, but that is not in the budget and I didn't win the lottery last week!)

Last year I tried to use the Earthway, but it had a tendency to grind them up.  Can anyone suggest a good way to plant these or a way to help the Earthway not to make turnip seed fines?

Thanks,
Jay
