I didn't have to change /etc/securetty to be able to log in, but whenever
I tried to cast a spell, it would say the md5sum was wrong and when I
checked the directory in /usr/src, it would be empty. Manually
uncompressing worked. I did all the changes which Craig did, but I didn't
have his problem, I had a different one. :)

Ideas? (I've since changed back so that I can continue to install
packages, trying to get my USB mouse to work...).
