Then you really ought to try putting more RAM in. Don't blame a
perfectly good processor when it's RAM you require.
One of my beautiful museum pieces is a Monolith 386. It carries on
it's proud 300 ton chassis (well, nearly...Try carrying the bastard up
some steps!) 64 megs of RAM.
It performs beautifully for several purposes, despite being a 386.
When it was local to me, I used it often to test out musings on a Slack
7.0 distribution.
