I resonated with Tanja's words (and others here). I can walk up and down 30
aisles of a grocery mega-store and find nothing I want but paper towels. At
TJ's, I can fill my cart to the brim. No, they aren't all organic products,
or locally made, etc. I, like Tanja, would buy all my produce, meats, and
whatever else I could find and the farmers market or health food store, but
there are so many other things that I can't find in those places. TJ's had
all those little things (I speak in past tense, as I no longer live near one).
I think rather than kicking TJ's around for not being everything they could
be, maybe a few "permie-preneurs" could analyze the type of products TJ's
carries, then use this info to create a similar themed store where these
types of products are locally sourced, mostly organic/non-GMO, etc. I know
I'd shop there. Just a thought.
