Hello,

With all the information available for techniques for carbon sequestration
the one aspect I believe is most important to consider is how much energy we
use in relation to the yearly carbon production by living entities. It
could be seen as a carbon budget which we spend down but should not over
spend without incurring potential disaster. My point is that we need to
reorder our lives to use much less energy, and use what we have wisely.
What is at issue becomes the simple fact that industrial societies are
ordered in such a way that waste is intentionally built into our economies
with great benefit to a very wealthy few who are fighting against real
change through any and all means. Theirs is a winner take all paradigm.

So how do we get there (efficiency, quality of life, living diverse
landscapes, justice and health) from here?

Steven Eisenhauer

All,

There are times when hand cultivation and labor is most advantageous.
There are also situations when animal or machine labor is superior to
hand work. It may be best not to generalize here. I use all 3 forms
and find them all tiring. There is no rest for the wicked or weary.
