Yes, yes, its always the fault of the others, the aliens. Timeworn recipe
for finding scapegoats with others, other people, other races. Just too
convenient, since it releases us of the need to look for the real problem
which, more often then not, is much closer to home. The bad corporations
don't make anything you don't want to buy.

I think he is referring to the abuses of GE (dumping pcb in Hudson), Monsanto
(Anniston, roundup, gmo's, ongoing),
McWane foundries, the oil industry polluters who devastated Grand Isle
Louisana, the Golf Wars , and on and on and on.

But you are exactly right. The solution is not just closer to home but _at
home_. Each of us can learn to survive with a
miniscule footprint, feed ourselves, recycle evething on our property, help
out neighbors, teach others, spread the word
and contribute to the pool of resources, i.e. when we take something out, put
something back.
As Woody Guthrie said "take it easy, but take it". Persevere, observe, keep
on learning, never look back.
