Ginda,
If these limbs are what you want on this stock, bu all means give 'em a
season to heal. If they are at all as vigorous as my other apples, healing
will be substantial by fall and will give you a better idea what to expect.
Splinting will help, provided you are careful not to damage the limb further
with rubbing due to wind motion.
