Hey, I like that. I wasn't really happy with my idea of red food coloring and I was only about half serious. Blending the hawthorn juice with another fruit to come up with a nice color is much better.
Also, giving the product a name that hides the fact that it is hawthorn jelly is a little underhanded too. Calling it current and hawthorn jelly might take the edge off the name. Perhaps making very little pure hawthorn jelly (unless/until it is discovered by the local customers) and using most of the hawthorn juice in a blend might be a solution.

Hey, maybe the Hawthorn name isn't really the problem. Maybe it's the 
color. Maybe you should put in some red food coloring. People love red. 
Put some "Red Hawthorn" jelly right next to your original "Hawthorn" 
jelly. If the red kind sells out, that will tell you.
