Posting disinformation when the facts are readily
available on the internet would tend to suggest that
someone does not mean well.
Pointing out the facts when others post fiction isn't
self righteous. This isn't about me, it's about those
who post fantasy and pretend it's fact. If you choose
to ignore those who misrepresent facts, that's your
choice. It's not mine.
In your opinion was Rachel Carson self righteous when
she wrote Silent Spring? Did you write in to your
local newspaper complaining about her when Silent
Spring was published? If not, why not? She was just a
trouble maker wasn't she? She was aggresive about
speaking the truth and apparently you feel that is not
the NAFEX way. Was she still self righteous when DDT
was banned in most of the civilized world?
Rachel Carson didn't discover anything new about
pesticides. She just pointed out what others were
ignoring, or hiding, or lying about. She also pointed
out that insect populations would recover from the
effects of DDT faster than birds so eventually DDT
would be useless anyway. Now evidence is mounting that
insects are evolving resistance to some GM crops.
Doesn't that concern you? Doesn't it concern you that
people on this list have misrepresented research on GM
crops?
Since when is posting disinformation about crops and
the environment, and then ignoring those dishonest
postings, and attacking those who speak the truth, the
NAFEX way?
