Sorry Steve, but, I can't help but chime in here. If all American farmers are "providing the cleanest, most nutritious and
interesting, cheapest diet the world has ever seen.", then why are people buying Phil's eggs for $4/dozen and paying me $4-5/dozen? I have a real problem with the largest (or one of the largest) egg producers in IA being called the cleanest; that is, the one who has such trouble providing a safe egg and for that matter, one that tastes anywhere near as good as one that is TRULY free-range, not just from hens that are "allowed access" to the outdoors (sorry USDA). Call me political if you wish, but I claim that I am talking about what all of us "market farmers" should be talking about to our customers or at least striving to attain, that our products are the best out there, bar none.
