I know what you’re saying. Its sad how things have changed and the folks still growing cash grain seem think its okay. They don’t realize they’re next. 30 years ago farmers in Illinois on average owned 2/3 of the land they farm. Now its 1/3, and they don’t like those big cash rents but they have to compete or go under. You can’t afford to farm less than 2-3000 acres now.

 

What’s the likelihood of finding an older combine out your way that isn’t worth anything in today’s ag but still runs fine and can do the job. Have they all been scrapped?

Bill none of the old guy's around here are even around anymore, they sold out to the big guys and left and went south, they got tired of watching what is going on in this part of the country.
