I do not have chickens but make a scratch mix that is made up of wheat berries, cracked corn, and rye berries.  Its a simple by product of what I am milling for human consumption.  I sell it to backyard chicken owners that only need a couple pounds at a time.  Right now I charge .50 a pound.  Its sold  to folks IN Cincinnati all grains are grown and milled inside the I-275 loop.  So its pretty darn local, even if not well rounded.  Its a fairly nice winter scratch mix I think/..maybe not.  I do not have chickens but have not had any complaints.

I have to go to market now, but I can tell you that handling and harvesting are the biggest issues.  I'll be more than happy to go into how we are tackling it.

I would be curious to hear more on what chicken owners on this forum are looking for.

Cheers!
