I have a 1947 model with hand lever controlled cultivators.  There are a lot of adjustment options on the vertical shanks and the tilt of the shovels.  You may need to use some penetrating oil to loosen the bolts.  My favorite is "Fluid Film".  When you retighten the shanks put a little oil on them and retighten them like the devil.  Doesn't make a lot of sense but the oil helps you to get them tighter.  Otherwise they can loosen and fall out on you.  Sometimes I apply my size fifteen right foot to put downward pressure on the right side to make it bite deeper.  It helps to be over 6' tall and have long legs.

Hi

I recently got a 1951 Farmall Cub with a set of cultivators. Does anyone have any experience with this type of cultivation? I'm having a hard time getting all the sweeps to hit theground even, or at all. any tips would really help.

Thanks
Dave
