I make my hoophouses out of cattle panels and like the result. Weight is
not an issue and is a plus for high wind areas. I can always use them in
my livestock production if I change my mind about their garden use. Made a
quick fence last year before using them again for a hoophouse. And I could
have used one early spring to house two-four calves before pulling over to
the new area for planting this month. I composted chicken manure/shavings
next to the hoophouse all winter. We will till it in when the rototiller
comes back from being serviced. Then ropes tied to the base and three folks
pulling can move the hoophouse right over the black soil. Then I plan to
till that area and begin a new compost area for next growing season.
VERSATILE!

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED hog panels? Lighter but smaller squares in these
panels. Shorter width too, I think. I wonder if you would need to cut some
squares bigger to gather tomatoes? Anyone else on list using hog panels for
cages? I think two placed in a triangle may work for row planting. Maybe?
I am considering doing that myself, but I have not sat down and look at it
seriously yet.

Let us know what solution you come up with!
