Not really. Gardening, unfortunately, is very often not
aerobic exercise.

When I garden, I sit on my rolling garden seat, working on
our raised planters, using hand tools only. It's very
efficient gardening and comfortable for me. Aerobic
exercise, it certainly isn't.

I personally wouldn't go to a gym, though, I'd take my dogs
for long walks (exercise for the dogs as well as for me), if
I were able to.
