Doesn't Johnny's have a contraption called "ZEA later" that applies oil to the corn silks which is supposed to give excellent corn earworm control organically (unless you use GMO corn oil ) or you can do this without the ZEA later devise using a syringe or some other devise that will allow you to apply a few drops of oil at a time to the silks.

The cuke beetles ate all the silks off of our 3rd and 4th plantings making the cobs very unevenly filled, much worse than having earworms (which we also have).

The cuke beetles have been horrible again this year. I wonder what predator we humans have decimated to have caused this. Birds I suppose.
