While this all sounds good, I know for a fact it is not true with me. I am
not going by what any doctor says or any myth but my own personal experience.
Once I get it the initial blisters will become so huge they will burst and
run to other parts of body then new blisters will come up. Blisters will
also come up in places where I could never have been exposed to the plant.
I have experienced many episodes of it and am also highly allergic to fire
ant stings and other bugs. Whether it is related to the plant or my immune
systems 'the myths ain't myths'.

I don't think it is a matter of incorrect information being passed around. I
believe everyone relates their own personal experience. I would tend to
think there is insufficient scientific study in this area. Just because
science doesn't agree on something doesn't necessarily make it false.

It is a shame that incorrect information about Poison Ivy continues to be
passed around.
