As I mentioned, I am a basil newbie, but I have been cutting 18" to 24"
plants back to 6" to 10". I've just been bundling the whole plant in
my hand and cutting all stems as a group; there are very few leaves
left after I have made my cut. I'm guessing individual plants may need
harvesting every 10 to 14 days. As the plants grow, even in the face
of this harsh pruning, I expect I will have to adjust my strategy.

I've seen basil sold in sleeves, like cut flower sleeves but smaller;
anyone know where to find such sleeves?
