I think that farmers who are not into retail have many opportunities to sell
product
to stores, wholesalers, restaurants and delivery businesses. Farmers markets
are one
of the only opportunities to retail direct to customers and the markets we're
involved
in support that principle. The Vancouver market does allow cooperatives to
sell, but
all farms involved in the coop must register, pay dues, be inspected and a
farmer from
the coop must be present at the market.
