I have a Tibetan Mastiff, one of the oldest breeds of
livestock guard dogs around. They have only been
imported to the U.S. since the '70's and are still
very much working dogs (even the ones who show). Most
of the east coast breeders are in VA and MD, so would
be relatively close to you. There's a good breed web
site at www.atma.org (american tibetan mastiff
association). Feel free to contact me off list if you
want/need any other breed info.
