Title: Re: soil improvement
Peg & all – thanks for the comments on our pond soil – I think we’ll go for it – I’ll call today to see what it costs to rent the equipment (gag!).  My question for Peg is, since I have a soil test kit to send you, I should now wait and do the test after adding the pond soil, correct?  I always add rock phosphate to the transplants “in the hole”, which is probably feeding the transplants more than the soil?  We’re always on a shoestring.  Our certification inspector last year recommended the use of calcitic lime but I again assume that it should wait for the soil test?
