Sue,
We market through farmers' markets and a CSA. We donate a full-up bagged
"dignity share" to the local Women's shelter plus any shares not picked up
during the week, and parishable "leftovers" from the farmers market. A
volunteer comes by on Monday morning to get the food.
A neighboring farm donates to the local food bank through a group called
Senior Gleaners. These folks started gleaning from farms about 20 years
ago. They're careful and respectful of both your land and your time.
Call your nearest Second Harvest group. They may have a resource for you.
