0-till, as it is called outside the USA, is the proven way to farm in the tropics. The International Center for Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan, Nigeria has proven that beyond any doubt. I no longer debate or discuss no-till as to whether it will work or not. That has been proven.
I sure the heck wish my neighbor would adopt it. I was standing on the porch hanging laundry in the 40 mph+ winds we're having today, watching his freshly plowed topsoil blow away. Much of it ends up as a heavy layer of red clay dust in my house, grr.
