I visited the Milwaukee Whole Foods one day to gaze upon its decadence
with my Cynical Eye.

Didn't work. I found it to be a good store, with gracious employees,
good prices, and well-organized conveniences and excellent selection.
If they can keep it up and make money, I welcome them. The more people
who see that real food doesn't have to be sold in wood shacks with dirt
floors smelling like marijuana, then the more will be encouraged to seek
real food and wonder why the food in the other stores doesn't have the
same flavor, perhaps even getting them to be interested in cooking
again, then trickling out to the Farmers Market once in a while.

Heaven forbid they might even start to turn off their TV.
One thing at a time. That's about all the public can handle.

Dan
