We're growing Yukon Golds in a garbage pail (with holes
drilled for drainage). We started off with about 3" of soil
on the bottom of the pail. As they grew up, we added more
soil. The plants are up to the top of the pail now and look
great.

We planted them rather late; they aren't ready to pick yet.
This the first time I've grown potatoes, so this is a trial.
Don't know yet how it will work out. We bought the seed
potatoes locally.

We both like Yukon Golds, they're a nice potato. But next
year, I'll try a couple of other varieties too.

Ronnigers has many interesting varieties that I've never
eaten or even seen.
